How PR Can Help Climate Tech Founders Tell Their Story When It Matters Most
It’s Climate Coworking Week here in Austin, Texas, and we couldn’t be more excited to connect with our climate tech peers!
Here at TaleSplash, we love to be at the center of innovation, change, and things that are happening at the federal level.
Whether it’s working with clients who help utilities accelerate innovation to meet their decarbonization goals or supporting organizations that use AI to predict the risk of extreme weather events, we love working with mission-driven startup founders committed to climate solutions.
How We Do It
Thanks to innovation that is making PR more accessible, we’ve built a PR tech stack to connect clients to journalists in real-time to help make sense of what’s changing in the world around us.
While we love helping startup founders get their news out – whether it’s funding or launching a brand for the first time – it goes beyond that.
We find opportunities for our clients to join the conversation during the moments when their voices are needed most.
Before connecting a client with a journalist, we ask ourselves:
How can our clients contribute their expertise during critical moments?
What are the topics our clients can comment on as credible, reliable sources for journalists?
Climate Tech Success Stories
On the “Public Relations Preview” podcast, we discussed how one of our first clients specialized in predicting the optimal locations for electric vehicle charging infrastructure across various markets based on demand, charging capacity, pricing and more.
From the onset, we made sure this client was a resource for any journalists covering news around electric vehicle charging.
During a 2022 State of the Union address, the President committed to building a national network of 500,000 electric vehicle charging stations.
Instead of simply pitching a company announcement, we leveraged the timing to offer commentary from our EV charging client to reporters. We acknowledged key points from the address, provided helpful resources, and helped journalists connect the dots on electric vehicle charging topics.
